Driftwood is a spacious, Victorian, terraced property, just a short stroll from the beach, and overlooking the delightful Trafalgar Square. The property is situated just around the corner from Scarborough Cricket Club, home to the famous summer Cricket Festival. Driftwood is perfect for a traditional seaside family holiday, being within walking distance of the beach and the town centre, which offers plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Peasholm Park is one of Scarborough’s great attractions, and is located just down the road where you can enjoy lakes and beautiful ornate gardens. You can hire pedalos and rowing boats, or sit back and enjoy the re-enactment of a warship battle.
North of Scarborough you will find the resorts of Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes, and to the south there is Flamborough Head, Filey and Bridlington. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is a great place to see the puffins in their natural habitat, as well as lots of other migrating sea birds. Within an hour’s drive you will find the cities of York or Hull and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park are on your doorstep. Beach 700 yards. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
