The ground floor bedroom and bathroom is ideal for less able people and there is a gallery style double bedroom with adjoining twin room for large parties. The patio is fenced and enclosed making it ideal for pets and children. Kimlin Cottage is a perfect base for keen ramblers and cyclists as there are many pathways located directly from your doorstep. About the local area

West Ayton is located only 1 and a half miles away and is a delightful river- side village and is the gateway to North Yorkshire Moors National Park with views of the woods in the Forge Valley. The property is only 4 miles from the beautiful coastline of Scarborough which has an abundance of activities and attractions available for all ages throughout the year, with its lovely golden beach, fun fair and amusements to entertain the kids. The area is also very popular for walkers and cyclists with Dalby forest close by which has some excellent pathways and cycle tracks or if you want something a bit more challenging there is Go Ape assault course positioned high up in the trees with aerial slides. If you want to travel slightly further you can enjoy a visit to the stately home of Castle Howard near York where Brideshead Revisited was filmed and has stunning gardens and farm shop and holds many open air musical events, or the cultured city of York with its stunning Minster, where you can enjoy sailing on the River Ouse on one of its hourly cruise ships where you can sit back and appreciate the beauty of York.
