Set over four floors, this property is in an ideal location for those looking to escape to the seaside, with many attractions all within walking distance.

On entering the property, you step up into the dining room, with enough seating around the table for the whole family. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can create all your favourite home cooked meals. Downstairs, is a snug living area, and a utility room leading out to the enclosed back garden. The bedrooms are on the first and second floors. The master double on the second floor has a wonderful bird’s eye view over the roof tops out to sea. This is a wonderful choice for families and friends, where you can all spend quality time together.

The property is situated within a short stroll down to the south bay beach as well as the town centre where you will find some excellent bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. Scarborough boasts two bays, the North Bay and the South Bay, separated by the castle perched on the headland. The Marine Drive runs all the way along both the bays, making it a great place for a long leisurely walk along the seafront. The North Bay is the quieter of the two, whereas the South Bay has the traditional seaside amusements, donkey rides and fun fair.

In Scarborough you have many attractions including a popular waterpark with a fun splash pool and wave machine as well as an Alpine themed Spa. There is the wonderful Peasholm Park, one of the main attractions of Scarborough, with beautiful gardens and a boating lake. You can hire rowing boats or pedalos, and in the summer months, the lake plays host to a miniature naval warfare battle on the lake, enjoyed by many children of all ages over the years. Opposite there is the open-air theatre which hosts live concerts and events. At the North Bay you have the Sea Life Centre where they have a seal sanctuary.

Scarborough is a great base from which to visit the rest of the east coast, with Whitby, Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay to the north, and Bridlington and Filey with its award winning beach to the south. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is a short drive where you can view all the migrating seabirds especially the ever popular puffins. It has an excellent train service where you can catch direct trains to the medieval city of York, or it’s just an hour’s drive by car. York is voted every year as one of the top ten cities to visit in the UK.

About the local area

Scarborough is situated at the southern end of the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast and, together with Filey, offers beautiful beaches, coastal walks and a variety of entertainment for the whole family.

Scarborough is a town of two halves, with South Bay full of amusement arcades, fish and chip shops and donkey rides, whilst the more genteel North Bay is home to several parks and grand Victorian buildings. The whole family will want to take a trip on the miniature North Bay Railway, which will take you to Sea Life Centre and to the Historic Water Chute and Boating Lake.

Filey is a small traditional seaside town, home to an award-winning museum and a nature reserve that is a haven for wild birds. The town is situated at the eastern end of The Cleveland Way, a long- distance footpath that skirts the Yorkshire Moors and has many beautiful walks with stunning views to offer. Kids will love visiting the Alpamare waterpark for all kinds of aquatic fun, with slides, waves and much more to enjoy.

Within easy reach is the famous Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, which has something to offer every member of the family, from thrilling white-knuckle rides to children's entertainment. For something really out of the ordinary, pay a visit to Pesky Husky, where you can take part in a kennel tour followed by walk or even a trek with these charismatic dogs.
