Description

Jansharic is a large detached town house positioned within easy reach of the centre of the historic town of Whitby. The property boasts of spacious rooms throughout including a large separate kitchen, lounge and dining room making Jansharic an ideal base for large families or two families sharing. A large enclosed garden at the rear of the property is a great place to relax and do a spot of sunbathing. A perfect stay for walkers with numerous pathways close by and a level 15 minute walk will bring you right into the hustle and bustle of all the amenities Whitby has to offer.  A play park is close by where you can enjoy panoramic views of the coastline.  The Abbey can be seen from the top rooms of the house.

About the local area

The famous 110 mile Cleveland Way can also be accessed on the west cliff of the town where you can choose to walk north towards Sandsend and Staithes, or south towards Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough. Whitby hosts many music festival weekends including the sixties weekend, soul weekend and Goth weekends, which attract many visitors all year round. It is full of quaint gift and antique shops where you can buy the famous Whitby Jet jewellery and watch it being made in the many workshops. There are also some excellent award winning restaurants where you sample many mouth watering fish dishes that Whitby is famous for. The local tour bus is an excellent way of visiting some of Whitby’s highlights including the stunning Abbey and St Mary’s Church positioned on the Cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea.
