Millers Haven” is a newly-built, luxury second floor apartment located right in the heart of the bustling town of Whitby. It is in a complex of 24 apartments called Union Mill that are named after the co-operative mill that was built there in the early 1800’s. It boasts of Abbey Views from most rooms and you can also enjoy the view over the Rooftops in Whitby. It is a spacious, bright apartment with original artwork, tasteful décor and furnished to a very high standard. The property has eco- friendly, under-floor heating throughout that is provided by an air source heat pump and gives the apartment a cosy, welcoming feel to it. There is a secure entry system with either stairs to the apartment or a lift which is especially convenient for guests with limited mobility. The owner will provide you with parking permit to use in the Leisure Centre car park situated just 200 yards from the property where you can also enjoy swimming, badminton or attending the many exercise classes available there. ‘Rooftops’ provides an excellent base for couples and families looking for a holiday by the sea-side or indeed to explore the pretty villages dotted along the North York Moors National Park areas. A 5 minute walk will bring you to either 3 miles of golden beach or to the heart of the town with an abundance of activities and amenities to suit all the family.

About the local area

Whitby has so much to offer all year round and is a very popular place to visit. There are a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops and famous fish and chip shops. There are also several restaurants that have won many awards for excellent cuisine to suit all tastes. The local tour bus is an excellent way of visiting some of Whitby’s highlights including the stunning Abbey and St. Mary’s Church positioned on the Cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea. There are also many events going on all year round including Whitby’s own Regatta, Folk week, music weekends and Goth Weekends which offer something to please everyone. If you would like to travel further afield you can visit many pretty coastal resorts dotted along the coast from Whitby including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay which are all worth a day out.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

One of the country's most popular steam railways, covering 18 miles between the market town of Pickering and the village of Grosmont, travelling through the heart of the North York Moors National Park.

Captain Cook Memorial Museum

Situated in the house by the harbour side where James Cook came to serve his apprenticeship in 1746. With period rooms as Cook knew them, original paintings, manuscripts, models and artefacts from his voyages.

Robin Hoods Bay

When visiting Whitby and the surrounding area Robin Hood's Bay, one of the most charming and popular villages in the North York Moors National Park should be one of the first places you visit.
