Outside of the property is a small enclosed courtyard with bike storage. Access to Rowntree Park is within yards of the front door where you can enjoy over 20 acres of green space including a children’s playground, tennis courts, bowling greens, basketball court, skateboarding area and general areas for picnicking. The park also features a large lake, a canal and a water cascade, and is home to many ducks, swans and Canada geese.
A lovely way to enter the city of York is to walk through the park and then across Skeldergate Bridge where you will find yourself at Clifford’s Tower in the very heart of the city. There is so much to do and see in this beautiful city and it is fast gaining a great reputation, not only for its many cafés and restaurants, but also for the plethora of independent retail shops making this an all-round destination.
