The cottage commands spectacular views over Swaledale from front and rear with a delightful paved patio overlooking the garden and open countryside beyond.

The cottage is heated by electric night storage heaters and comprises:
Lounge: With open fire, colour TV with sky package, DVD, radio/CD and payphone.
Kitchen: With electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and dining area.
Cloakroom: With toilet.

First floor

Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower, WC, hand basin and shaver point.
Bedroom 2: With double bed and Z bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.

Paved patio with garden furniture and lawned garden. Off road parking by the side of the cottage for 2 cars. This property is suitable for partially disabled people, there is a stairlift and walk-in shower/tub, but please note there is no wheelchair access to the property.

About the local area

Muker is popular as a walking base and has a village shop and post office, craft shop, hand-knitted woollen shop, cafe and pub for bar meals. Nearby villages include Thwaite, Gunnerside, Reeth and Tan Hill at over 1700ft-the highest pub in England and the nearest market town is Hawes which can be accessed via the Buttertub Pass.

Richmond Castle

Richmond Castle, on a cliff above the River Swale near the town of Richmond is believed to be one of the oldest stone-built castles surviving today. The most impressive and best preserved area of the castle is the Great Keep, which stands over 100 feet tall.

Bolton Castle

Completed in 1399, Bolton Castle has a rich past including connections with Richard III and Mary Queen of Scots who was imprisoned here in 1568 under orders from Elizabeth I. Open all year round.
