Description

Couples will love this beautifully furnished loft style apartment set in the relaxing surroundings of Bainbridge Ings Country Park. With a quirky design and lots of special touches, the property really is quite unique!
Annabel’s Loft is set over three floors, accessed by two narrow spiral staircases. On the ground floor, a small galley style kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and equipment that you’d need to rustle up a romantic meal or brunch. Just off the kitchen is a compact shower room and toilet.
The first floor opens out into a stylish living/dining room. With spiral staircases and a glass balcony, it has a wonderful light and airy feel. The large, leather sofa and Smart TV are just what you need for a cosy night in. It’s the perfect place to open a bottle of wine, curl up and watch a good movie.
A further spiral staircase takes you to the top floor where you will find the master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling and glass balcony, you really do feel hidden away from the world here. The double bed is dressed in crisp, white, linen sheets and there is stylish shabby chic style furniture. Due to the style of the loft roof, there is limited head space at one side of the bed.
If you’ve come for relaxation, Annabel’s Loft has its own private courtyard with patio furniture and a hot tub. A perfect place for you and your loved one to slip into your fluffy robes provided by the owners, sit back and relax in the bubbles, and even open a bottle of fizz to toast the day.
The bustling market town of Hawes is a short walk away with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and interesting shops to browse, as well as a local deli and grocery store. The famous Wensleydale Creamery is just up the road. Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner and Bolton Castle are among the list of things to do. Lake Semerwater is nearby and offers activities including canoeing, sailing and windsurfing, or simply as a lovely place to take a picnic, sit down and enjoy the views and surrounding wildlife.
With fabulous routes right from the doorstep, Annabel’s Loft makes a perfect base for walkers, cyclists and those wishing to enjoy the outdoors, with comfortable surroundings to return to at the end of the day. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

About the local area

It's given its name to one of Britain's finest cheeses, but Wensleydale has so much more to offer. This is the valley of the River Ure, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and a popular destination for walkers and hikers.

As well as the rolling landscape of the valley itself, Wensleydale is overlooked by the distinctive flat- topped hill of Addlebrough, above the village of Bainbridge and Penhill, which stands guard over Leyburn. Wensleydale's dramatic scenery is dotted with ancient towns and villages, offering a great range of shops, pubs and tea rooms.

Hawes, at the head of the valley, is the centre of the famous cheese-making industry as well as rope- making, while Hardraw is home to Hardraw Force, one of the highest waterfalls in England.

At Aysgarth, the River Ure tumbles down a limestone staircase at the beauty spot known as Aysgarth Falls.

There are many other fascinating towns and villages in the valley; hidden treasures abound as the Ure flows eastwards. Middleham, with its castle, was the childhood home of Richard III while at West Burton, you can visit the famous Cat Pottery.

Although a walker's paradise, tired feet can let the train take the strain with a trip on the Wensleydale Railway. Heritage steam and diesel trains run along 17 miles of line between Redmire and Leeming Bar at the eastern end of the dale.

Don't forget the famous Buttertubs Pass, a great walk that leads from Hawes and Hardraw, over a high moorland pass and down to neighbouring Swaledale.
