About the local area

The cottage is approximately two miles from the bustling Dales village of Masham, famed for its annual sheep fare, steam rally and two very popular breweries Black Sheep and Theakston’s, complete with visitor centre, shop and bistro. For those wishing to venture a little further , the bustling market towns of Leyburn and Richmond are easily accessible to the north, with the historic cities of Ripon and York, each with racecourse, to the south. From the cottage, excellent walking and hiking may be enjoyed in the immediate area.
