Located in the picturesque traditional market town of Hawes, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is ‘High House’.  This charming stone built cottage offers spacious accommodation for four guests in two twin bedrooms, and has the added benefit of a games room/laundry on the ground floor with a table tennis table which is sure to provide hour upon hour of fun for all the family. 
The lounge enjoys the added benefit of a log burningl stove to keep out the chill on those cooler winter evenings, and the views could be described as nothing less than magnificent, as they capture the true spirit of the rolling hills of Wensleydale.  There are patio doors from the lounge leading to a small balcony, ideal for enjoying the ambience of the fresh Wensleydale air.
High House offers the best of both worlds.  All the amenities are on the doorstep, yet open the patio doors from the lounge, and you are greeted by the grandeur of unspoilt Wensleydale countryside.

Bedroom 1: with twin beds.

Bedroom 2: with twin beds.

Bathroom: with shower over the bath, basin, heated towel rail, shaver point.  Separate WC.

All electric, bed linen and towels provided.  Fuel for stove available locally. Cot and high chair available.

About the local area

This cottage is ideally located for exploring this picturesque area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park where the endless views of hills and dales are sure to blow you away.  The market town of Hawes offers an array of local produce with its weekly market and inviting Yorkshire tearooms, and is home of the Yorkshire delicacy – Wensleydale Cheese.
Walking in the area is a real treat with mile upon mile of footpaths for you to enjoy.  When staying in this area, you should never need to tread the same path twice, but step out and discover something new each and every day!
Aysgarth falls are just a short drive away and are well worth a visit. Approximately 17 miles to the East of Hawes is the popular market town of Leyburn which hosts a great selection of shops, pubs and tearooms.  
The Wensleydale railway is an ideal way to sit back and enjoy the stunning Yorkshire scenery, perhaps a treat for those tired legs after a few days on the hills!

Reeth, in the heart of Swaledale is a honey pot for locals and tourists. It lies where two of North Yorkshire's finest dales meet.
